Pension deferral query
The .gov.uk page for state pension deferral includes:
Lump sum payments
Your tax credits may be reduced if you take your extra State Pension as a lump sum.
I don’t understand that; any thoughts?
Such a lump sum counts as income (CPAG p1452)

I don’t think I’ve had a TC deferral question, only means-tested benefits where nothing arises.
