Anyone else out there noticing an increasing trend for DV assessment appointments being missed - harder to get? I raised this yesterday at the JC+/Rep meeting in Cardiff and was surprised by the number of fellow advice workers who reported the same thing.

Getting to the point I now advise clients to expect their first appointment to be either cancelled on the day, or for the assessor to just not appear - PIP team where concerned to hear this was happening and will look into it - but can only do so if a complaint is made to Capita first.

Also appears to be a ‘policy’ developing for Capita to expect not to arrange a DV assessment if the customer lives within a 60 mile radius of the centres in Swansea or Cardiff - and to assume mobility issues to be minimal if there is evidence of regular attendance at GP or Hospital Clinics.
