Carers Allowance & dependants

Can someone please remind / enlighten me about the adult dependant and child dependant premiums in CA?  Do / did they work like the extra premiums in IS, etc?  Who would the adult dependants be?  Partners or adult children dependants?

I’ve only come across the normal rate being paid.

You cannot now claim extra CA for an adult dependent or a child.  If the claim dates back some years (ie before 6.4.2010 for adult additions, or 6.4.2003 for children)an additional amount may continue to be paid.  See CPAG p557 and previous editions (p746-8 2002-3 p745 2012-3, p552 2013-4).
Amounts for dependents and children are now paid via means tested benefits and child tax credit.
