backdating a pension credit assessment
The client was getting gPC and was contacted by his work pension to say that they had overpaid him by £900. He repaid as requested and feels that he should get a backpayment of PC to cover the shortfall.
The Handbook p148 talks about supersessions only where a pension has been reduced quoting section 8 of the SPCA 2002 which would appear to confirm there is no chance of getting the backdating. Just checking if that is the right interpretation.
