Overpayment recovery pending appeal and direct earnings attachments

Hi a quick query here,

Is there any particular guidance which prevents the DWP from seeking recovery of overpayments whilst a claimant is going through the appeal process and awating a First-Tier Tribunal appeal. 

We have seen an influx of direct earning attachment requests for claimants pending appeal recently and at a glance there is little mention of moratorium pending appeal. 

It seems like there is a new policy around whereby the DWP and local authorities are vigorously pursuing recovery of overpayments pending appeal. 

Any guidance greatly appreciated.
