Support for mortgage interest - standard rate falls to 3.12% in July
The Bank of England measure of household mortgage rates (CFMHSDE) fell to 3.12% in April (it was 3.63% back in 2010 when the mortgage interest standard rate was last set).
The drop over 0.5% means 3.12% will be the new standard rate for support for mortgage interest for PC, JSA(IB), ESA(IR), IS and UC.
Takes effect 6 July…
