NO PIP FORM SENT OUT PRIOR TO DLA RENEWAL DATE
I have a couple of clients who have missed the renewal date for DLA because the DBC didn’t contact them or sentd out a renewal claim pack. I understand that most awards on new claims since 2013 have been restricted to 2 years so on renewal PIP will apply.
I am concerned those over 65 might lose mobility. In my opinion not sending out renewal packs is an indirect cut.
Anyone experienced similar.
They don’t send claim packs out. Simply a letter inviting the DLA recipient to claim PIP which they should do by calling 0800 917 2222. They receive the letter 28 weeks before the end of the DLA award I believe and they are easily missed…
