Have you used human rights to challenge the way you have been treated? Have you made your voice heard when people are making decisions about the type of help or support you need? Have you experienced discrimination?

We all rely on our human rights when we’re at our most vulnerable – if we have a disability, or a mental health problem, if we’re in hospital or need a bit of extra care.

Equally Ours is a campaign to show the benefits of human rights for people all over the UK. We share the real stories of how human rights have made a difference in people’s lives. We’ve started by sharing stories on our website and making our Everyday Rights film series.

Now we’re collecting more stories which show how important human rights are. We will share them with people who don’t know how vital they are, and with the media so they can tell the whole story.

If you have a story about human rights you’d be willing to share we’d love to hear from you.
