Old bedroom tax loophole
Did they ever get round to closing the loophole?. I have a client who was reimbursed because he fit into the loophole but he is now being docked his HB again. Is this right?
The pre-96 protection loophole was closed in March, I think. So, it only applied from the introduction of the underoccupation charge to the start of this year.
Yep, the Housing Benefit (Transitional Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 (SI.No.212/2014) closed the loophole from 3 March 2014 -
