Jamaican - UK reciprocal social security agreement
Hi
Have a Jamaican woman with 3 British children, she has limited leave to remain as a Zambrano type carer with no recourse to public funds. Has not worked or claimed income replacement benefits in the UK. She gets Child Benefit.
Gov.uk and a couple of other places mention reciprocal social security agreements with Jamaica but the info I can find about it refers only to widow’s benefit, pensions and Industrial Injuries Disablement benefits.
Anybody know if there is any other access to UK benefits for Jamaicans with no RPF?
According to CPAG the individual agreements are in the Blue Books.

here’s the direct link to the consolidated version of the Social Security (Jamaica) Order 1997 ...
but, yes, widow’s benefit, pensions and industrial injuries benefits are all leaping out from a quick scan
There’s a table at the back of CPAG’s ‘Benefits for Migrants’ handbook, giving benefits covered by conventions. For Jamaica, they tick:
Retirement Pension, Bereavement Ben, GA, long term IB, Disablement Ben, IIDB
and they do NOT tick:
short term IB, JSA, MA, CHB, AA, DLA, CA
Thanks folks, helpful as ever
