Council tax discount for carers
The new Disability Rights Handbook refers to the carer’s who are disregarded for council tax discount purposes being applicable to:
someone who carers for a person entitled to the middle or highest rate DLA care (only the highest rate on Scotland)...this was always only the highest rate DLA care.
Can anyone tell when this changed please and where can i find the relevant regulation to show our council tax department? Seems too generous to be true but if it is I’ll be publicising it for Carer’s Week.
