This decision, recently added in the briefcase section addresses amongst other things the comprhensive sickness insurance bit of self sufficiency. Following VP v SSWP Judge White decided that the claimant doesn’t qualify but did he miss something? The claimant is getting a Beligian pension so wouldn’t Belgium be the competent state for sickness benefit under the coordination regulation and have to cough up for any NHS care she needed? This is the one situation in which even Judge Ward accepts people meet the CSI requirement.
