I am not aware of any specific UT/CDs in which the claimant had polio, but you may wish to look at the Derbyshire County Council WRS DLA/AA claim pack (think most bureau would have one, or if not, look to get one).

DLA is awarded on the basis of the needs arising out of a condition, not so much on the condition itself. So you dont particularly need a supportive case in which the claimant had polio.

Is there a specific daily living or mobility need arising out of your client’s condition which the DWP are not accepting?

Nothing specific about polio but in my view the lead case on virtually unable to walk is R(DLA) 4/06, particularly paras 21-25.  Decision attached.
