With regards ATOS ESA medical reports I presume many of you reps/applicants have come across the RMP’s findings at the rear of the bundle under ‘PROGNOSIS’ - Functional Problems stating….

“I advise that work could be considered within 3 months.”

My client had this written about them in a recent ATOS medical report but scored zero (0) points on descriptors. The RMP advise reads to me that the applicant would need another medical within 3 months to be found fit or not. Basically the DWP have now come up with another group of applicants (appart from assessment phase applicants, LCFW & LCFWRA) in that these applicants are unfit for work but at the same time score zero points and have their ESA stopped. Any views would be appreciated.

This has come up before; there’s no provision on the drop down menu for “I advise a return to work could be considered immediately” so they just lump for 3 months as it’s the shortest period they can opt for.
