the SSAC are interested in any work going on to measure the cumulative impact of welfare reform -

‘I’m enquiring on behalf of the Social Security Advisory Committee as to whether you are aware of any research (either currently being undertaken or being considered) around the cumulative impact of the coalition Government’s welfare reform programme.

The Committee is undertaking an exercise on what is available by way of research in this area.  I would emphasise that the Committee has no intention, nor the capability of undertaking any such research itself, but is interested in whether, and to what extent, the issue is being explored generally.  We intend to produce a short report later in the New Year.

Any information you can give us in this area would be very welcome.’
