An early Christmas miracle

Just thought I’d share my early Christmas miracle. It comes in several parts.

No 1. The ESA processing section actually rang me, yes you heard me right, rang me to speak to me about a claim.

No 2. They actually offered an award notice replacement as they couldnt send the original to me.
Let me give you some context, our Authority documents request copies of award notices and correspondence in relation to claims. This only ever happens with DLA. And not even all the time with them. So I was astounded by this alone!

And the biggest, most flabberghasting miracle of them all.
No 3. I only posted the claim form to the DWP on Friday 06/12/13. And they have processed it today. And put it in to payment. Today.

I now need to have a tea and a sit down in a quiet room it has been that shocking….

They’ve just come back from their Christmas do. There can be no other explanation.

I had a similar case once, albeit not as quick as that. It turned out they’d mislaid the claim form and were awarding benefit to all affected.
