DWP refusing to increase benefit award until Debt Management decision made…....
Anyone else come across this?
Client no longer entitled to Carers Allowance so notification was made by us but an overpayment of said benefit has occurred.
DWP now refusing to increased existing ESA award to reflect change in income (ie no more CA in payment) pending a decision from Debt Management regarding alleged overpayment.
Now it’s Monday but even so…........
They want to do a Section 74 offset before paying any arrears. Perfickly normal.
