Further to the Supreme Court’s October 2012 judgment in Jessy Saint Prix v Secretary of State for Work and Pensions - that relates to whether an EU national who left work due to pregnancy retained a right to reside in the UK - the Aire Centre hs published an update on proceedings in the ECJ

CJEU has decided, in favour of Jessy Saint Prix, that a woman who stops working or work seeking in the late stages of pregnancy and after child is born can retain worker status provided she returns to work or finds another job within a reasonable period after confinement -
