ESA - representing relatives
Hi,
Is it ok to represent a relative? I’ve been helping my uncle and want to make sure it’s ok and if I need to mention this at appeal? I am helping him in my own time.
Thanks
Allan
i think it’s perfectly ok to represent people you know and have done it myself a number of times, letting the tribunal know what my job was but telling them that i was representing in a personal capacity.
That’s great.
Thanks very much

Can make things a bit trickier than with an ‘ordinary’ client when you lose though. I’m still struck off my Aunt Beryl’s Xmas card list.
