Hi

After some tactics to get an appeal re-instated as soon as possible.

Client failed WCA, put in appeal, was sent TAS1 by TS.  Client has learning difficulties, and struggles with reading - ticked want to withdraw appeal in error.

TS are saying need to request re-instatement in writing (which will be done immediately by fax) but are saying could take at least 4 weeks to get re-instated - and tnt has no income in the meantime.

Any tactics to get it looked at quicker?

Thanks

Request matter put to a FT judge as a matter of urgency; label it as such and explain why. Identify a clerk to talk to and then fax it to them. Pick up the conversation once they have the fax and see if they can walk it in front of a judge present in the office when you call. Detail availability of yourself and the appellant asap, perhaps within the fax also. Get clerk to liaise with a listings clerk once the judge conversation (keep in touch with the clerk on this) has taken place and make it clear you will waive the 14 days notice (assuming your case is fully prepped). Other than that, lap of the gods stuff.
