We have been contacted by Nigel Dobson, researcher for independent documentary film-maker Sean McAllister -

‘Sean McAllister, a renowned and respected independent documentary film-maker from Hull, has been commissioned to make an observational documentary for Channel 4 television following some individuals and families who are being affected by the benefit cuts over a six to nine month period.  Please see his past work at: http://www.seanmcallister.com

The aim of the documentary is to highlight the daily problems, frustrations, injustices and struggles encountered by claimants, especially arising from the cuts.  It will allow an open opportunity for any participants to express their views and opinions, to question their situation – to raise any issues they wish and ask any questions they want.  As such Sean is equally happy to speak to claimants across the board – including those on tax credits, losing money on the council tax, losing money to the spare bedroom charge – and any other cuts that they may be suffering.

If you are, or know of, an individual or family interested in speaking to Sean about their situation – and with an interest in appearing in the documentary – please call Nigel Dobson on 07941 666099 or e-mail him at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) (please mark your email “Sean Documentary”)’
