Student Nurse Bursary

Had an enquiry from a student nurse regarding an issue I know little about. She is 22 yo, gets a student loan of £550 per term, and has a bursary which is based upon her mother’s means.  Used to live with mother but now lives with auntie.  Wonders whether she could have her Bursary reassessed based upon her present circumstances.  She has tried but was refused a reassessment

If someone is able to advise what legislation applies, whether it is correct to have bursary based on original assessment or not and any other suggestions that may be appropriate to improve her income.
