I have a client who is currently receiving ESA but is undertaking permitted work to help her gain experience. She receives a salary for her work in line with ESA guidlines. As my client is deaf she requires help with communication. Does she qualify for Access to Work support for an interpreter regardless of her entitlement to ESA.

Seems to be a ‘maybe’. See last page of this leaflet (published last autumn). Would be worth having a chat with the area Access to Work adviser.
