If a claimant makes a PIP claim and gets an award and subsequently the DLA appeal they had ongoing is allowed- what happens?

Presumably as a tribunal can’t supersede they can’t make a closed period award for the DLA.

Is there anything in the WRA that states a claim for PIP results in a termination of the DLA award?

Is it possible in this instance to have a both DLA and PIP entitlement and awards in payment for both benefits at the same time.

Opps!

Found the answer- SI 2013/387 Reg 17 (4) &(5). DLA would end on the day before the PIP begins so it’s effectively a closed period for the DLA.

Also, para (5) (b) states where PIP is not awarded the DLA will end 28 days after the next pay day.
