DLA fixed term awards and PIP

If claimant is 65+ on 8/4/13 and has existing fixed term award of DLA, what happens when award expires? Can’t work out whether claimant is reassessed under PIP or not.

They should get a DLA renewal pack. 65+ before or on 8 April are not affected by PIP - as I understand it.

This person would renew their DLA claim as normal (at least for now).

Reg 3(2) of the draft PIP (Transitional Provisions) Regs prevents DWP from inviting anyone who was 65 on 8 April 2013 from being invited to claim PIP. http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/pip-draft-transitional-regulations.pdf
