Are you, or have you ever been, a benefits or welfare rights adviser?

Twenty Twenty Productions Limited are producing a new ‘living history’ documentary series about the welfare state for Channel 4.

They’re inviting present-day claimants to live by rules that governed benefit provisions in 1949 when the system was first introduced.

They’re looking for people who have worked in the area of welfare or benefits to contribute to the series.

Are you interested in using your expertise for a ground-breaking television series?

They tell me that this will require approximately 6 weeks commitment from around April, and that there will be payment available. The researcher that I spoke to stressed that this isn’t intended to be about bashing benefit claimants.
