Exempt from cap?
Those eligible for WTC will be exempt from cap. Has anyone info on how this will translate into UC, will it be working 16hrs per week (or just working?) Will DWP use same rules as HMRC re term time workers etc?
There’s a threshold figure of earnings to avoid the cap in UC. UC doesn’t like hours based rules. From memory the threshold is £99.23 a week.
That equates to 16 hours at current national minimum wage (£6.19p/h), so that adds up (in one sense, at least).
