Thanks John, and what sounds like a sensible outcome and approach. Could you make a copy available for this site?

Best wishes

Brian

Paragraph 17 is magnificent.  A fine example of the skilled art of judicial compromise and clarity in all its glory.  A very useful decision indeed.

Hi, I’ve been trying in vain to find a full copy of CSE/22/2013. I’m attending a hearing tomorrow with a client and this UT decision would be perfectly supportive! Do you have link?

Many thanks

Sheila

Oops, sorry - just realised there was a page 2, and there’s a link in all its glory!

Update.
DWP are now considering an appeal against CSE/22/2013.
Will keep this thread updated with the outcome.

Here is a more recent useful decision on the social engagement thing. Undermined somewhat by the dopey reps attempt to scupper everything by backtracking part way through. Sorry folks - the one month to respond to observations was effectively a 25 minute deadline because I was going on my hols and I made the wrong move in the rush.

Excellent! My client won SG on this descriptor.

The Tribunal judge had the sense to call her at home to tell her she didnt have to attend the proceedings and that he had already ruled in her favour.

3 months of stress and worry for no good reason courtesy of obstinate and rubbish JC+ decision making.

Rant over!
