Where does the confiscation order go??
I’d hope this would be obvious, but thought it was worth posting up to be sure.
There is a confiscation order to pay the Crown Court a lump sum, following conviction for a benefit overpayment offence.
The total overpayment is much higher.
Can we be sure that the money paid to the court is paid back to the DWP, and offsets the total?
Can we be sure that her solicitor is wrong to have advised her that no further overpayment recovery would then follow?
