Advice Services Alliance and The Assessment Network have announced changes to the audit cycles and price structure of the Advice Quality Standard (AQS).

New AQS applicants will have a Desktop Audit followed within 60 days of successful completion by an Initial Audit. The requirement for a subsequent full audit within 12 months has been removed, meaning that organisations will fall straight into the 24 month Monitoring Audit cycle.

They have reviewed the current audit pricing structure and increased the daily rate from £500 to £525. This follows a period of three years during which the price of audit remained unchanged. As an indicator of what the change will mean, an organisation with 1-3 members of staff will be charged an additional £37.50 every two years for their audit.
