http://www.letshelpyou.co.uk is a new website service funded by the DWP and was launched across all five West Yorkshire local authorities in February. The service aims to ease the impact of LHA transition and wider welfare reforms, reduce avoidable contact, and aid homelessness prevention. This is a free service supported by local authorities to encourage a self-service approach by tenants searching for more affordable rental accommodation in the private sector.  The built-in LHA calculator lets tenants know the maximum amount of housing benefit available by property type and location. Rents are then displayed in green if they are equal to or below the appropriate maximum, and over 70% of rents listed on Letshelpyou are in this category.

In just four months, 2,000+ registrations have been achieved, with 511 landlords advertising 650 properties to 1767 registered tenants across West Yorkshire. The service is now available nationally, if you would like more details then register, sign in, and test the service for yourself, or contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), tel 01757 638154, to arrange a presentation.
