SDA regs needed re: occupational pensions

I have a client insisting his occ pen should be disregarded as income for both PC & SDA because he got SDA prior to April 2001.

I have advised:

Occ pension cannot be disregarded for Pension Credit purposes
Some occ pens (depending on amount) are disregarded as income for SDA

Client will not accept this…due to specific confidential circumstances regarding this client, I have to get this advice right and backed up…...

Does anyone have any old regs I can have re: occ pens and SDA or indeed any advice at all

Hi Tony,
thank you for this information.
He is aged 63 getting GPC and full HB/CTB. As he is getting maximum entitlement I am not sure about his reasoning…

So far contact has been by email only - so a little slow in gathering info as not all my questions are answered. He’s referenced a lealfet he has which, when I google it, it references toilet brushes only!
He’s getting his warden to send a copy to me.
