Afternoon all.

I have a client who was on LT ICB and IS top up until Nov 2011 when she took a job, over the permitted work rules. Both the IS and ICB ended correctly. The job only lasted 6 weeks though, and, come the New Year she reclaimed benefit, being ESA.

Is there any provision left now for that claim to be linked to the previous award of either/both IS and ICB.

Ive looked in CPAG and there are hints (linking periods of incapacity for work) but nothing outright….....

I think Im missing something, either way, many thanks :)

Unfortunately not, the 12 week linking rule for Incapacity benefit stopped on 31/1/11 and there is no provision to link a new ESA claim to an old Incapacity claim.
