ESA appeal won but a supersession applied for already

Client has won her ESA appeal this week against a decision that was made in July.
In September, whilst the appeal was pending, an application for a supersession was made (as she had relapsed and health was significantly worse), she attended a medical last week relating to this latest application..  Now that she has won the appeal, can they ignore this latest application for a supersession?  Or could we be in a position where we are having appeal yet again ?(bit worried as last appeal was under old descriptors and this supersession would be under new ones).
