I have a client who has recently been released from prison after being in for about 4 weeks. He was previously claiming IS on sickness grounds and was getting an SDP and DP. He has made a claim for ESA since being released and this is still being processed. Am I right that this can be linked to the earlier IS claim as only in fact separated by about 4 weeks and that the ESA claim can be treated as an IS claim?
