LHA increase April 2024
I thought that the new rates applied from 1/4/24 but DWP has told my colleague that the new rates come into effect for APs beginning on or after 8/4/24. Is this correct?
I think the DWP is right as I remember noting this at the time… Just tracking down the regs to be certain…

BUT LHA rates from 1 April 2024. You were right!
You may want to direct DWP to the LHA tables available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/local-housing-allowance-lha-rates-applicable-from-april-2024-to-march-2025 where the details say “The LHA rates from 1st April 2024 have been determined in accordance with The Rent Officers (Housing Benefit and Universal Credit Functions) (Amendment) Order 2024 (SI 2024/ 11)”
