Pension Credit and underlying entitlement to Carers Allowance

Hello,

just wondering if someone could provide me with clarification.

I am working with a client who is 70 years old. She is receipt of her state pension and no other income.
She has previously made an application for PC, but this was refused as she was £2 a week over the limit.
She explains that she provides care for her mother, and has not made a claim for carers allowance as of yet.
If she were to make to make an application and was found to have underlying entitlement to it, would she then qualify for pension credit?

Any advice would be great.

Yes they would, provided the State Pension she receives exceeds the weekly amount of CA (£76.75 a week).
