Benefit cap errors (particularly re: child benefit)
There have been discussions in the past about DWP failing to apply the benefit cap, or calculating it incorrectly (eg https://www.rightsnet.org.uk/forums/viewthread/17530) leading to over- and under-payments
Does anybody still see these cases?
I’m particularly interested in cases where child benefit information has not been updated (eg, CB stops but cap is not recalculated; CB is awarded after UC and cap is not updated)
CPAG’s Early Warning System has an opportunity to raise them with the DWP.
