When to claim as a couple for UC?

Hi

I think the answer is yes but I just wanted to double check.

Client lives with his parents and is claiming UC - pregnant partner moved into the property as a “lodger” and pays £200pm rent to her partners parents. Do they need to make a change of circs and add her onto his claim?

My thinking was yes but wasn’t sure if its any different with her being a “lodger” who pays rent?

The question is whether they are living together as if they were a married couple. The fact that the parents are extracting some cash from her for them doing so is not relevant to that question.
