Getting the payment date for PIP changed?

Has anyone ever been successful in getting the payment date for PIP changed?
I have a colleague who has a case where PIP is paid on a Saturday and the person then goes on a drinking spree as he has money and no DD will go out until Monday.

He’d really benefit from his payment date being moved into the working week. Ever heard of anyone achieving this?

His other benefits are paid every 2 weeks and he has set up DD to coincide with these, but it’s the £500 PIP every 28 days that throws him of his good intentions.

Is it truly a Saturday payment? I haven’t ever come across a Saturday payment but have come across certain banks (Barclays and Monzo come to mind) who will release Monday payments on a Saturday. Usually on the bank statement it then shows as Monday’s date but will have been available for spending on Saturday. Not sure if either Monzo or Barclays can turn off this feature of request.
