PIP Helpline - difficulties getting through/disconnected and/or engaged tone?
Written question answered on 23 April 2024 re telephone waiting times
says DWP are “deploying dedicated telephony specific resource to the Personal Independent Payment telephony lines” from 24/04/24. Do report back on whether it’s making a difference!
I tried calling the PIP new claims line today and there was an automated message saying the service wasn’t available today and to call back after 2pm. This would have been to make a special rules claim.
So far we are not really noticing the benefit of the telephony specific resource.
Update: It now says call back another day
[ Edited: 1 May 2024 at 02:23 pm by GfordMacCW ]Both the new claims and PIP helpline are down and the recorded message is that they don’t expect either service to be back up and running today.
I’m still having problems with the PIP helpline. Long wait on hold only for the call to drop out and we are cut off before it is answered and we have to start a new call.
