Does anyone have the email address for visiting team referrals for Leics/ Northants area. Haven’t used it since before Covid and can’t find it! Thank you :)

That’s news to me! When I was working within DWP referrals to Visiting were restricted and screened and had to made via the internal Visiting Service Referral Tool. Claimants had to be screened for the so called PV marker ( potentially violent ) which shows up in red on CIS Searchlight. Probably because Visiting Officers are involved in Benefit/Integrity and compliance checks.

Process has indeed been radically revised over the past year or two and you’ll now need to contact your local office and get a copy of the referral form. Visits restricted to vulnerable claimants and there’s a list available as to how that is defined. Only DWP could imagine that limiting HVs to vulnerable claimants would somehow reduce the number eligible.

Does anyone have access to the list of who counts as vulnerable ? is it standardised across the department or would that be too much of an ask…..

Digested read of what we were told i.e. to avoid the jargon.

We managed to get the visiting team direct email covering our area. Advised that its a vehicle for receiving referrals and subsequent allocations.

See attached generic referral form - we were told it can be used by CA staff and other agencies ‘trusted partners’?
