DWP are running a 5 mins survey to understand what forms of identity and contact information people have and are able to provide when claiming Carer’s Allowance -

What is the research

The Carer’s Allowance team have created a survey around:

what documents citizens have readily available
what forms of communication citizens have available, and how confident they feel about using those different forms of communication
The survey will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete.

Why are we doing it?

Carer’s Allowance is working on ways for citizens to confirm their identity when using the service.

This survey aims to understand what forms of identity and contact information citizens have and are comfortable to provide.

It also aims to get some initial insight into what impact asking for this information may have on the citizens and their Carer’s Allowance application experience.

Who is it for?

Nobody plans on becoming a Carer – but unexpected events can lead people to this situation. Therefore, we are looking for participants from every walk of life – they do not have to currently be carers. Our only caveat is that respondents must be over the age of 16.

What is the closing date?

We’re hoping to collect all responses by 7th November.
