Yesterday’s update from the MoneySavingExpert site includes -

Additional £150 cost of living payments for those with disabilities were due to start last week, but after MoneySavingExpert.com founder Martin Lewis’s social media request found “not one soul” had received one, the Government admitted to slight delays. But it insists the vast majority of the six million due the payment will receive it by early October.

Our corporate appointee team has now had about 170.

They appear to be sending them in alphabetical order going by the 2 letters at the start of the NINO.

Just my luck that mine are YZ..

Also DWP are now saying most will have been paid “by early October” whatever that might mean.

I’m aware of someone who got theirs yesterday. Paid out as a separate item on the day they are usually paid their adult DLA. So two items on the bank statement. One ends in DWP DLA and the other is DWP COL.

Hi, does anyone know if it can be paid if someone is awarded PIP late (lapsed appeal case) - would it be automatic?

Thanks!

Should be paid. Almost certainly won’t be automatic although I am happy to be shocked by examples of where that was the case.
