” Benefits Britain is Back ”

That was the theme of Fraser Nelson, the spokesman of the Tory right on the BBC Radio 4 news programme this morning. Fraser was advocating a return of the Austerity drive of the Cameron/Clegg government to reduce the benefits bill of the 5 million alleged Benefit claimants. Maybe a return to insidious cuts to LHA by altering the calculation of the median and then freezing all Benefits for years and a new series of Benefits Street to enforce the stigma.
Liz Truss, John Redwood and Fraser Nelson can’t see further than their own ideology let alone the reality as illustrated today by Crisis.
