Hi,

Just wanted to check - as far as i was aware if you are terminally ill and claim esa your claim is fastracked with a ds1500 into the support group without going through the process of filling out the ESA50, attending medical etc.  My colleague has a case at present where a terminally ill client is being migrated from IB to ESA and DWP are telling us she needs to complete an ESA50 even though she has a DS1500. When we advised DWP this wasnt the case for new ESA claimants we were told there were new rules that came out in April stating the ESA50 needed completed when migration?

Has anyone else had this experience or know of any difference due to migration?

May be worth checking the IB review date as migration should not begin until that date has been reached. Do they still have their award letter?
