Any way round the past presence test for carers allowance for this client?
Hello,
Just want to check, make sure I am not missing anything.
Client was on CA for 4 years caring for mother. Had to go to Australia as father living out there died and client urgently needed to sort out his affairs. That took a while, then Covid hit and client couldn’t get back to UK.
Now back in UK and caring for mother again but failed past presence test and can’t claim CA for another 20 months.
Nothing can do unfortunately I assume?
