I’ve had one (I didn’t realise it was at the time). Client was asked to take a picture of himself outside the accommodation as well as other paperwork…

From our Partnership Manager.

‘The process for verifying housing costs in the private rented sector has changed as a result of Covid.

Pre Covid, we saw the customer face to face and verified housing costs with the documents they brought into the Jobcentre.

During Covid we used Trust and protect and asked customers to tell us what their housing was

As face to face interventions continue to be limited, we have now introduced a facility for customers to upload information on their private rented sector housing costs onto their Universal Credit account. If customers are not able to upload information on their housing costs then we will call them. If the customer is not able to upload the information after the conversation, the customer will be given a postal address and asked to send the information by post’.

That is just bizarre.
