Treatment of Child Maintenance arrears
Hi, I am trying to advise on the effect of Child Maintenance arrears on a UC award. The client has just received £57000 arrears (with an ongoing award too which I appreciate will be ignored as income).
I am aware that some arrears payments are disregarded for 52 weeks by Schedule 10 of the UC regs but do not think Child Maintenance falls under this.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
