Backpay of subsistence for victim of modern slavery
Does anyone know how this would be treated? Client now on UC.
My understanding is limited but I think as the payment should originally have been for subsistence, it won’t be disregarded & will be taken into account as capital if over £6,000 (I don’t actually think it is going to be that much but yet to find out).
If anyone knows of any specific provisions/guidance in relation to treatment of these payments in UC, I’d be very grateful. Thanks.
